  • Community projects receive $2.94 million

    One hundred and twenty applications were received from community groups of which ninety-two were successful with funding totaling $2.94 million from the State Government.  These projects are designed to protect and enhance local natural assets.

  • Strategic priority projects receive $15.5 million

    Twenty vital Natural Resource Management (NRM) projects including schemes to protect key waterways, safeguard critically endangered flora and fauna and control feral animals will receive a $15.5 million injection from the State Government.

  • Coastwest grants Applications NOW OPEN

    The State Government has launched the 2012-13 round of Coastwest grants making $500 000 available for the preservation of Western Australia's coastline. Applicants can apply for up to $150 000 per project.

  • Department of Environment and Conservation Environmental Community Grants

    $1.53 million in grants is available to individuals, local community groups or organisations and local authorities to undertake projects that have environmental benefits.

  • 2011-12 Community Grant recipients announced

    The State Government has committed $1.3 million towards 48 community projects working to protect Western Australia's natural resources. Community organisations, conservation groups, schools and local governments were amongst the grant recipients.

  • Funding topped up on 20 projects

    $2.3 million has been used to extend the work of 20 State NRM Program funded projects. Community organisations, Government agencies and universities are amongst the recipients and projects span from the Kimberley to the South Coast.

  • State NRM Program Community Grants 2011/12

    The Western Australian Government is making available $3 million to fund community projects as part of the 2011/12 State NRM Program. Eligible groups can apply for grants of between $10,000 and $50,000 to help protect and conserve natural assets in Western Australia.

  • State NRM Program Strategic Priority Project Grants 2010-2014

    The State Government is making between $10 million to $15 million available to fund projects that address State NRM Program Investment Priorities. Regional NRM Groups, State Government agencies and the WA Local Government Association are eligible to apply. Anyone with an idea for a project is encouraged to contact one of these organisations.

  • Community NRM projects to preserve and restore environment

    Agriculture and Food Minister Terry Redman and Environment Minister Bill Marmion today announced $2.37million would be made available to help communities preserve and restore their local environment. Funding from the State Natural Resource Management (NRM) program will support 73 projects in Western Australia during 2011-12.

    The State Government announced on 14 May 2009 $30million funding for Natural Resource Management (NRM) in the 2009-10 State Budget. Future NRM funding will depend on successful outcomes from key State NRM programs supported with this money.
